Wind Energy

The GERES-Group employs a holistic approach to all areas of its business and this includes wind energy. We evaluate potential sites, conduct feasibility studies and do the planning for a location.

Furthermore, we plan and realize the permitting for the wind park as well as the grid connection and supervise all construction on site. The quality of our work also shows in our selection of wind turbines from ENERCON, the market leader in driveless turbine technology.

We guarantee high returns through high efficiency with low noise levels and minimal wear. High operational stability is given through the ENERCON partner concept. The GERES-Group's cooperative relationship with ENERCON can be seen throughout our wind parks.

We have been operating with success in this sector since 1995 and have 108 wind park locations with 181 MW planned (as of 2008). We currently operate 42 of our own parks with a capacity of 76,7 MW including two substations. An additional 39 wind parks with a capacity of 84 MW are in planning or under construction in Germany alone.

Up to now our largest single project is the wind park Büttstedt, one of the most productive inland sites in Germany with 23 wind turbines and an installed capacity of around 41 MW and an investment volume of approximately 57 Million EUR.
