Solar Energy

The GERES-Group employs a holistic approach to all areas of its business and this includes solar energy.

We evaluate potential sites, conduct feasibility studies and do the planning for a location. Furthermore, we plan and realize the permitting for the open-air solar site as well as the grid connection and supervise all construction on site with our Spanish or Italian partners.

We guarantee the quality of our work through the use of modules by SHARP, the largest manufacturer worldwide with 50 years of experience. Their thin-layer as well as their poly- or monocrystalline modules are perfectly suited for our sites.

We have been operating with success in this sector since 2003.

The  8.7 MWp fixed-tilt solar plant in Ecija, Andalusia, Spain including an 8.2 km transmission line has been successfully sold to Gehrlicher Solar España.

In Italy we currently have three sites totaling a capacity of 10,84MWp in the authorization-process, another site with 1 MWp is being planned for Austria.
In the US a single-axis tracker plant with 23,3MWp is being developed.
